God has put a gift or talent in every person that the world will make room for. It is this gift that will enable you to fulfill your vision. It will make a way for you in life - Proverbs 18:16

What is God up to in each of us with this gift or talent?  Yes, Proverbs says in every person and we will be enabled to use it. Past years serving our Lord on my church council and chairperson has given me insight of the daily workings of His church.  Being part of the studies and then Chairperson of our Synods Lay Leader Network Board (previously School of Lay Ministry) has helped give me tools to serve as a Lay Leader and Bishop Appointed Synod Authorized Minister (SAM).  I am grateful to the community of learners I have met through the years attending classes at Luther Seminary.  Our National Youth Gatherings have filled my heart full when I see the hunger in our youth for Jesus… I thank God for these experiences as a volunteer working with thousands of youth from around our country – around our world! God has given me all these wonderful opportunities in my life….. He has enabled me to learn and to share.  I praise Him for this.  I am humbled that His vision of serving Bethlehem Lutheran Church is part of my life story.  It delights our Lord when we come together and use our gifts and talents.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). We serve the greater Askov area, including Sandstone, Finlayson, Hinckley, and Willow River. Bethlehem started in 1906 as a congregation of the Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church to meet the spiritual needs of Danish immigrants to the new land. 114 years later, Bethlehem continues to provide opportunities for spiritual growth through relevant and engaging worship, education, and service in God’s mission for the world.
